¿Qué son las preposiciones de tiempo in, on y at?

Recuerda la excepción de at night y que this, next, last y every nunca llevan preposición.
Preguntas frecuentes
¿Cuándo se usa at, on e in con el tiempo?
At para horas y momentos exactos, on para días y fechas, e in para meses, años, estaciones, siglos y partes del día.
¿Se dice in the night o at night?
Lo habitual es at night («de noche»); in the night se usa para algo que pasó durante una noche concreta.
¿Es at the weekend u on the weekend?
Ambas son correctas: at the weekend es británico y on the weekend, americano.
¿Por qué se dice on Monday morning y no in Monday morning?

On time significa «puntual, a la hora prevista»; in time, «a tiempo, antes de que sea tarde».
