Future perfect
Se forma con will have y el participio, y casi siempre va acompañado de by o by the time.
| Forma | Estructura | Ejemplo |
|---|---|---|
| Afirmativa | sujeto + will have + participio | We’ll have left. |
| Negativa | sujeto + won’t have + participio | We won’t have left. |
| Interrogativa | Will + sujeto + have + participio…? | Will we have left? |
| Respuesta corta | Yes, sujeto + will (have). / No, sujeto + won’t (have). | Yes, we will. / No, we won’t. |
| Continuo | will have been + verbo en -ing | We’ll have been waiting. |
- Have no cambia nunca: es she will have finished, no she will has finished.
- By + momento significa «para», «como muy tarde»: by Monday, by 2030, by then.
- By the time + presente simple equivale a «cuando», «para cuando»: By the time you arrive… (nunca by the time you will arrive).

Ejercicios resueltos
1. Completa en future perfect: «By December, I ___ (pay) all my debts».
By December, I will have paid all my debts.
2. Pasa a negativa: «They will have finished the bridge by May».
They won’t have finished the bridge by May.
3. Convierte en pregunta: «You will have packed by eight».
Will you have packed by eight? Will va delante del sujeto y have detrás.

By the time you arrive, we will have eaten. Tras by the time se usa presente.
5. Elige el tiempo: «At ten tomorrow I (will take / will have taken) the exam, so I’ll be free».
Will have taken: el examen ya estará terminado a las diez, por eso estaré libre.
6. Traduce: «Ya se habrán ido».
They’ll have left already (o They’ll have gone).
Preguntas frecuentes
¿Cómo se forma el future perfect?
Con will have y el participio pasado del verbo: I will have finished, she will have left.
I’ll have finished by six).
