¿Qué son will y won’t?

Preguntas frecuentes

¿Qué significa won’t en inglés?

Es la contracción de will not y forma el futuro negativo: «I won’t go» (no iré).

Confundirlas cambia el sentido: «I won’t go» (no iré) frente a «I want to go» (quiero ir).

Para sonar más cortés se prefiere «Could you…?» o «Would you…?», y con un tono impaciente («Will you be quiet?») puede sonar a orden.

Don’t want expresa un deseo («I don’t want to eat»).
